Position
The Community Manager strengthens and grows our nonprofit member community by leading onboarding, engagement, and day-to-day operations within the Quad (Circle) platform. This role ensures organizations receive a welcoming, high-value experience while advancing their use of Quad tools and resources. The Community Manager serves as an advocate for the TechSoup brand, communicating with authenticity about TechSoup’s value proposition while fostering trust, engagement, and long-term member success.

The base salary range for this full-time remote position is $52,000.00-$65,000.00 plus benefits. TechSoup determines salary ranges based on role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business needs, and market demands. TechSoup offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other perks.

Position

Duties and Responsibilities
Member Onboarding, Support, & Retention
- Manage new-member intake and verification, ensuring all administrative steps are completed before onboarding begins.
- Deliver clear, timely onboarding communications within 24 hours of activation, including personalized messaging for sponsored vs. general members.
- Create warm welcome experiences and encourage early member introductions to support community-building.
- Track onboarding progress and resolve profile or access issues within Quad.
- Drive account penetration by encouraging organizations to onboard up to nine additional staff members.
- Maintain retention through proactive engagement strategies and direct outreach to members
Community Engagement
- Share content and resources—such as courses, guides, and tools—across Quad groups to support learning and collaboration.
- Moderate conversations, surface key topics, and ensure an inclusive, mission-aligned space.
- Support ambassadors, moderators, and active members to sustain engagement and leadership.
- Organize members into cohorts or groups based on shared needs, issues, or areas of interest.
- Help organizations deepen their use of Quad offerings, ensuring smooth user experiences.
- Understand existing value levers within Circle and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Verify participant lists, ensure data accuracy, and support onboarding for sponsored organizations.
- Align messaging and onboarding flows with sponsor expectations while prioritizing a member-first experience.
- Provide internal teams or sponsors with high-level, non-PII summaries of activation and engagement.
- Partner with internal program, partnerships, and communications teams to ensure aligned workflows and messaging.
- Host webinars, live sessions, and share community stories to highlight impact and success.
- Share member feedback and insights that strengthen courses, content, and program offerings.
- 3-5 years of experience working with nonprofit communities, membership programs, or community success roles.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Emotional maturity with empathy and diplomacy; ability to understand customer sentiment and effectively handle concerns or complaints.
- Comfort with digital community platforms (Circle, or similar) and workflow tools.
- Curious, proactive, and committed to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with digital transformation, nonprofit capacity building, and technology adoption.
- Ability to balance process management with human-centered engagement.
