Position

TechSoup is seeking a Marketing Analyst to join the Business and Client Insights team, supporting TechSoup’s Global Marketing team. Through data analysis and reporting and by the development of internal tools and capabilities, the Marketing Analyst will empower the Marketing team to refine and improve its understanding of our clients’ needs and interests, improve our clients’ user experiences, optimize the effectiveness of our communications with our clients, and maximize TechSoup’s impact on the global NGO community.

The Marketing Analyst will be required to respond to specific requests for data, research, and analysis from the Marketing team, partner relationship managers, and program managers. The Marketing Analyst will also be responsible for configuring and enhancing our marketing toolset and platform, and enhancing our capabilities for data-driven operations. The Marketing Analyst’s deliverables include a variety of reports, analyses, and internal tools and capabilities.

Please note: this position is eligible for remote work for candidates with additional experience. Local candidates with the minimum required experience will be eligible for additional training.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to specific requests for data, reports, research, and analysis from the Marketing team, partner relationship managers, and program managers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to TechSoup on the needs, behavior, and characteristics of our nonprofit and nongovernmental organization clients, as well as for our corporate and foundation philanthropic partners.
  • Administer, configure, and enhance our Google Analytics implementation specifically for an eCommerce platform. Serve as a SME for Google Analytics.
  • Provide feedback to the Marketing team on the effectiveness of and optimization of marketing activities.
  • Load data files into HubSpot and other marketing platforms as needed.
  • Maximize the analytical capabilities of our HubSpot implementation.
  • Develop capabilities for analysis and reporting based on data from multiple data sources, including Google Analytics, HubSpot, and internal SQL databases.
  • Develop and provide a data visualization, reporting, and analysis platform for use by the Marketing team and other TechSoup departments.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years related work experience in digital marketing analytics and marketing segmentation
  • Foundational knowledge and experience in Google Analytics, including views, reports, segments, goals, eCommerce, and multi-channel funnels.
  • Ability to learn new tools and develop analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with the following:
    • Google Tag Manager, AdWords, Optimize, and Search Console
    • Advanced Excel, e.g., Power Query, Visual Basic
    • SQL queries and programming
    • HubSpot
    • Universal Analytics
    • A/B testing
    • Search engine optimization
    • Qualtrics
    • Facebook Ads Manager
    • Other social media

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
